Orthodontics US Applicants

Application Process

IUSD participates in the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS) sponsored by the American Dental Education Association (ADEA).  The PASS application deadline is September 1.

All applicants must also obtain a match number.   PASS and the National Matching Services, Inc. (NMS) have combined forces to enable applicants to enter all necessary data at the PASS site, select one or both services, and submit/pay through ADEA.  Data will flow to NMS for all applicants who select the Dental Match from the services menu, and ADEA will pay the appropriate fees to NMS.

The following should be sent directly to PASS:

Class ranking or standing:  Class ranking or standing is required for all applicants except those from Un-Graded Programs.   Class ranking and GPA should be recorded on the PASS Dean's letter and sent directly to PASS.

National Board Scores:   National Board dental scores are mandatory and should be included in the Dean's e-evaluation form submitted directly to PASS.  Part II scores are not required for fourth year dental students attending an accredited dental program, but should be provided as soon as they are available.

Three ETS Personal Potential Index (PPI) Evaluations:   Three ETS Personal Potential Index (ETS PPI) evaluations are required.   All applicants must enter evaluator contact information using the ETS PPI dedicated link in his or her ADEA PASS application account in order to have the form delivered electronically to each evaluator.  Evaluations should be from faculty members, private practitioners or friends, in that order of importance.  An ADEA PASS Institution Evaluation Form (ADEA IEF) is also required from the Dean (or his/her representative) of your dental school.

The following supplemental items should have been sent to the IUSD Office of Graduate Education by September 15, 2011.
