Tobacco Cessation Counseling at IUSD Faculty Practice

The Tobacco Cessation and Biobehavioral Center offers help for those looking to quit tobacco. One-on-one counseling sessions are based on the Mayo Clinic model and the Clinical Practice Guidelines. We provide clients medication, support in understanding their nicotine addiction, and practical methods for overcoming their addiction such as stress management, weight management, and coping with relapse.

Cessation Scholarships for Adolescent Tobacco Users

The Indiana University Nicotine Dependence Program at Fairbanks will provide 30 cessation scholarships for individuals between the ages of 16 and 25 and for Marion County residents who are financially unable to receive tobacco cessation services. Six one-on-one counseling sessions will help teens develop a quit plan, set a quit date, and maintain abstinence from tobacco through relapse prevention methods.
