IUSD Research Day 2008
This event showcase advances in basic and clinical dental research here at IUSD, with an emphasis on encouraging our students to present their work and fostering many opportunities for research collaborations.
The “IUSD Research Day” is a yearly event highlighting the advances in basic and clinical research of students, staff and faculty associated with the Indiana University School of Dentistry. The Indiana Section is the local link to the national (AADR) and international (IADR) organizations for dental research, and is an integral sponsor of this annual Research Day. During this event clinics are closed and classes are canceled to make it possible for all faculty, staff, and students to attend. The President of the American Association for Dental Research (AADR) is invited as the keynote speaker. Following the keynote address, research presentations from students, faculty and staff are displayed in the form of posters and table clinics. The sessions are designed to encourage interaction among presenters and attendees, with ample time allotted for questions and discussion. Research Day also includes an awards program, with competitions in several categories. There is also a commercial exhibit representing many dental manufacturers and other companies before and after the keynote speaker’s presentation.
Registration and submission of abstracts are done online. For 17th Annual IUSD Research Day submission will open early in January.
