Mission statement:
The Indiana Section of the AADR ( INAADR) exists to promote the objective of
the AADR on a local level. This objective is to promote the advancement of
research in all sciences pertaining to the oral cavity, its adjacent structures,
and their relation to the body as a whole; the utilization of this knowledge for
the promotion of better approaches to the prevention and treatment of oral diseases
and other diseases of the head and neck; and the improvement of communication and
cooperation among all investigators in order to share this knowledge for the benefit
of all people.
Membership to the INAADR is open to undergraduate dental students, dental hygiene
students, dental assisting students, graduate students, faculty, and staff who are
interested in Dental Science and Dental Research
Members of the INAADR are part of a network of dental professionals that support
the activities section. The INAADR is an integral sponsor of the Annual IUSD
Research Day held each spring and sponsors or co-sponsors on average one scientific
seminar per month. The INAADR also sponsors special awards during the Indiana
Regional Science Fair at Upper Elementary, Junior and Senior Divisions.
The INAADR sponsors continuing dental education credits to dentists and dental
hygienists.
