Residency Requirements

 Applicants should be U.S. or Canadian citizens, rank in the top 25% of their dental school class, and have National Board scores of 88 or above.  Individuals who do not meet these requirements, but who have acquired significant clinical experience (GPR, OMS internship, etc.) may be considered for admission if strong references support their application.

Application process

Indiana University participates in the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS) of the American Association of Dental School and the match through the National Matching Services.  All applicants must use these services. The information and application forms can be obtained directly from these organizations.

The following material should be included with the application.

1. Official college transcript from all previous colleges or universities
2. Three letters of recommendation. One must be from the Dean of your dental school and if available provide your class standing. The two other letters should be from full-time dental school faculty members. One of the letters should be from a full time oral and maxillofacial surgery faculty. These letters may be submitted with the PASS application
3. A small photograph (2" x 2")
4. Details of externship or research
