Definition
Oral Diagnosis is the art of
using scientific knowledge to identify oral disease processes & to
distinguish one disease from another.
Oral Medicine is defined by the
American Academy of Oral Medicine as the specialty of dentistry concerned with
the oral health care of medically compromised patients & with the diagnosis
& non-surgical management of medically-related disorders or conditions
affecting the oral & maxillofacial region.
