Dr. Myron J. Kasle
received his DDS (1962) & MSD degrees (1972) from Indiana University
School of Dentistry. He joined the faculty in 1966 & was chairman of the Department of Radiology from 1972 to 1986, then
the Section of Radiology in the Department of Dental Diagnostic Sciences
until his retirement in 1990. He has served on various university
committees over the years. Dr. Kasle has received many awards &
honors including the award for Excellence in Dental Research (1973), the
Lord Chaim Research Award from the First District Dental Society of
New York; Fellow, American Academy of Dental Radiology
(1977), Fellowship,
American
College of Dentists ADA Meeting (1981), Diplomate,
American Board of Oral
& Maxillofacial Radiology (1981), & the Alpha Omega Fraternity
Distinguished Alumnus Award (1985). He has held various offices in
professional societies including Chairman, Oral Radiology Section annual
session, American Association of Dental Schools
(1982), President, 36th annual session of the American Academy of Dental
Radiology (1985-86), secretary, Academy of Oral Diagnosis, Radiology &
Medicine (1986-88), Vice Chairman of the Pierre Fauchard
Academy, & President, Omicron
Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor fraternity. He is a member of
Indiana University's Alliance
of Distinguished Rank Professors. Dr. Kasle has prepared
numerous television tapes & has presented extensive courses over the
years. He was an active clinician & presenter at clinics & conferences in his
field. He has published extensively with textbooks, chapters, &
articles in prestigious journals. His textbook, "An Atlast of Dental
Radiographic Anatomy," is currently in its 4th
Edition.
