Currently the Sr. Director of Clinical Technology & Global Head of Image Analysis at Pfizer, Inc., Mostafa Analoui, PhD is the former director of the Oral & Maxillofacial Imaging Research Facility (OMIRF) at Indiana University School of Dentistry where he is an adjunct associate professor of Dental Diagnostic Sciences.  He holds three additional adjunct appointments as associate professor:  that of Electrical Engineering in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Purdue University School of Engineering & Technology; of Radiology in the Department of Radiology, Indiana University School of Medicine; and of Preventive & Community Dentistry in the Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry, Indiana University School of Dentistry.   While at IU, Dr. Analoui wass actively involved in developing imaging solutions for biomedical research & clinical diagnosis.  His research focus included:  quantitative imaging using visible light and fluoroscopy for caries detection and analysis, applications of direct digital radiography in clinical assessment of bone and implant integration, applications of human visual models in visual enhancement of clinical images, and color calibration and matching for tissue characterization.  Dr. Analoui was previously with IBM's T.J. Watson Research Center focusing on algorithm development for statistical pattern recognition with application on automatic speech recognition.  He also lectures nationally and internationally.  Dr. Analoui has authored over 100 publications including journal articles, book chapters and technical reports.  he is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE), International Association for Dental Research, American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology and the International Association of Dento-Maxillo-Facial Radiology.
