Welcome to the Department of Orthodontics and Oral Facial Genetics (OOFG) at Indiana
University School of Dentistry, located on the campus of Indiana University
Purdue University-Indianapolis.
Dr. Katherine Kula is the Chair of the department and Director of the Orthodontic Graduate Program
. Her focuses are on high standards of patient care, clinical biomechanics, and
strong research programs.
Faculty
The department has almost 20 faculty members who are full-time, part-time or donate their time to the program.
Many faculty members maintain a private
practice in addition to their academic work.
Additionally, our faculty stay abreast of current issues in Orthodontics and Genetics as it relates to the
development of the oral cavity by overseeing various research programs and attending continuing education
courses, symposia, and lectures throughout the world.
Staff
The department currently maintains a staff of twelve full-time and five part-time employees. The staff support
the department's mission by handling administrative affairs, overseeing patient care, and assisting faculty
and students.
