PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING
REQUEST FOR PRINT RESERVES
-
Faculty members must
provide all photocopies or reprints of articles/book chapters. The copyright
notice of the work must be included on the front page of each copy. This
notice is generally found at the beginning of the book or journal. (e.g. ©
2004 Elsevier Publishing)
-
Faculty members may
provide up to three copies of each article to be placed on Print Reserve
depending on the size of the class (approx. one copy for every thirty (30)
students enrolled in a course.). We do not accept a reading list or syllabi
in lieu of the reserve request form.
-
A completed
Print Reserve
Request Form must accompany each request. These forms are available from the
library website and must be printed and brought to the
library with the photocopied item. One form per article.
-
Photocopies are accepted
with the understanding that they were produced in compliance with the U.S.
Copyright Law. Any liability for non-compliance rests with the faculty
member.
-
Materials are processed on
a first come, first served basis. Please allow at least one week for the
article(s) to be processed.
-
All items are removed at
the end of the semester and returned to the faculty member.
-
Repeated use of the same
reproduction must be accompanied by a copyright permission statement.
