April, 2008
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
As the warmer days of spring approach, we wanted to once again write to thank
everyone who has been a part of our efforts to raise funds for the Graduate
Periodontics Clinic Renovation. We are so pleased to report that since we
introduced the initiative in December of 2005, gifts and pledges have now
exceeded $750,000. We sincerely thank you for your loyalty, generosity, and
thoughtfulness.
The scheduled dates for the renovation are May through August of 2008.
Scheduled bi-weekly meetings continue to take place involving department staff
and faculty and the architects for the project in order to finalize construction
plans. We hope you will take the time to review the enclosed drawings and floor
plan for the new clinic.
Needless to say, it is an exciting time for the Graduate Periodontics program!
As our momentum continues, we wanted to take a moment to ask again for your
continued support towards our goal of $1 million. As we approach the end of our
campaign, your support at this time will have a huge impact on the completion of
our goal. Now more than ever, your generosity will be instrumental in making
this important endeavor a success.
Therefore, our hope is that you will show your support for this worthy effort
by making an initial gift or renewing your commitment from last
year in the form of a gift this fiscal year. We would again suggest that you
consider a multi-year pledge over a 3-5 year period to help solidify our
efforts. For example, if you have given $1,000 to the campaign, we ask you to
consider committing an additional $4,000 ($1,000 a year for four years) to
pledge a total of $5,000 to the campaign. Many individuals have indeed chosen a
multi-year pledge in order to commit a significant amount to the project. If you
have yet to make a gift to the campaign, we ask you to do so at this time in
order to have a significant impact on the completion of our ultimate goal of $1
million. As part of the renovation, a permanent donor board will be erected in
the Periodontics Clinic honoring those who have made a gift to this worthwhile
project. We indeed hope your name will be prominently displayed alongside your
classmates and colleagues.
We have included a gift/pledge form and return envelope for your convenience.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and we look forward to your
continued participation.
Sincerely,
| E. Brady Hancock, DDS, MSD |
