Central Services and Infection Control Supply
Central Services is a
centralized sterilization facility responsible for decontaminating, packaging
and sterilizing dental instruments and hand-pieces for patient care throughout
the school. It has been in operation since 1972 with periodic improvements
over the years to service undergraduate and graduate dental programs. It
operates under the guidance of the school's infection control committee. The
facility also manages the dental unit clean water supply system and hazardous
waste disposal.
Infection Control Supply prepares
unit doses of all surface covers and disposable clinical supplies used for each
patient treatment session. Deborah Stewart (317) 274-5448 is the contact person.
